When Alex started school I started hunting around for another Pussywillow
Long story short... Lucky the black survivor sat in my hand and said 'Take me home'. His mother was Blue Persian (father unknown) so that was good enough for us. Not long afterwards, a neighbour - having fallen in love with Lucky - enrolled my services to find a cat for her. That was Pippa (b/w). Yes, the Blue Persian had been 'playing away' again. Andrea was from the same litter and sat in Alex's hand - obviously a family trait. So we took her home. In the course of time she had two boyfriends: a frighteningly massive tabby and a pure white cat. We never knew which was the father of Andrea's family, until one of her kittens produced Tom (Whimsy Home Page) and the mystery was solved. So it was very much a family affair. We began with Lucky, extended the family with Andrea and Mere [one of Andrea's kittens] - both sadly killed on Forest Road while still young - and Tom (poisoned). Lucky - aged thirteen - is still with us. 'Long-suffering Lucks'
